Thank you to everyone who came to Burnt Cabins Grist Mill for Heritage Day.

Thank you to those who joined us for breakfast, walked through the doors of the 1840 Mill, watched the demonstrations, visited our vendors, enjoyed lunch, brought the kids, shared stories and simply spent part of your Saturday with us.

Thank you to our wonderful vendors, exhibitors and craftspeople who brought their talents, products and knowledge to share.

Thank you to the friends, family and volunteers who helped prepare, cook, serve, set up, clean up, answer questions and handle all of the little things that happen behind the scenes.

And thank you to everyone who shared our posts, invited a friend or simply helped spread the word. You helped make this day possible.

Seeing so many people walking around the grounds and through the Mill was something special.

An old building can survive for generations, but its history stays alive because people continue to care about it, visit it, ask questions and share its stories.

Tomorrow is **HERITAGE DAY!**
September 19

Today we're sweeping 🧹, setting up, making lists 📝, checking them twice, preparing food, getting the Mill ready, finding things we were *sure* we put somewhere safe 🤔…and probably making a few last-minute trips for something we forgot. 😂

Because tomorrow, we get to welcome all of **YOU.**

Vendors will be arriving.

The grill will be fired up.

The pancakes will be flipping.

The blacksmith’s hammer will be ringing.

The carver's saw will be buzzing 🐝

And the doors of the old Grist Mill will be open.

There is a lot of work that happens before an event like this — but seeing people walking around the Mill grounds, sharing stories, learning about the Mill and enjoying the day makes it worth it. ☀
