It has been over a year and we are still unable to properly access our beloved "Calm" page on Facebook (or Meta as FB is now known).

If you have suggestions in how to get a real person at FB we would love to hear that. All of our messages, posts and help center requests have largely been ignored. All we have ever received are auto-replies thanking us for our feedback.

We recently received a message that our "grey" page, whatever that is, will be disabled by Facebook the end of April. If this happens, and we lose you, just know that we're still here and would love to hear from you. You've been great supporters of The Calabash Calm over the last 10 plus years and we love each and everyone of you and wish you only the best.

Happy first day of autumn to all of our "Calm" friends. It's been a while since we've posted anything. The summer was busy and now with Hurricane Florence having left her devastation throughout the area, it may be a while before southeastern North Carolina gets back to normal.

Thanks to all for your good thoughts and wishes. We are pleased to let you know that The Calabash Calm came through the hurricane and all of the residual weather like a champion. We had absolutely no damage to any of the buildings in our complex. We are grateful, but our hearts and minds go to our neighbors who haven't been so lucky. If you haven't already, please consider making some kind of donation to relief efforts for North Carolina.

We were able to welcome our most recent guest to The Calabash Calm on Thursday. Adam is a traveling medical professional and will be staying with us through mid-December. We are glad to be able to provide his housing while he is on assignment in the area, especially since his expertise and experience is needed here more than ever.

Finally, before we close out this longer-than-normal post, please let us give a huge shout-out to those of you who have liked us on FB in the last several weeks. We welcome each and every one of you to the "Calm" family!!
