We have been astounded by the amount of other problems that citizens and businesses have encountered with county officials and we are happy to assist with other complaints as our lawyers explore the wrongdoings and illegal actions we have all faced. We will make our findings and legal aid available to those also affected so please keep messenging us your own issues as we can make change together in Sierra County.

Another reason to love Sierra County Politicians: Van Maddox, the county Treasurer just sent us a new bill for hotel room tax to the sum $34,035.00 based upon his "observations" that we were always at full occupancy (we have an online room system spits out a computerized itemization but Van thinks driving by is better than a computer printout). This is the same Van Maddox that is listed as a state s*x abuser and who stole a girl out of foster care. GREAT PERSON TO TRUST WITH MONEY. Read the SacBee article below:

Hey Sierra County let's give a big thanks to Janet Baldridge your newest Planning Commissioner who led the charge to shut down the lodge. Janet has always and openly been against fun, good times and community businesses and told us directly she planned to shut us down...and then followed up that promise by openly laughing and mocking us during the hearing. Janet used her own written complaints to shut us down. Great Work Commissioner Janet! You only broke about 5 federal and state laws about fair notice and conflict of interest.

If people want to know why the lodge will no longer be open to the public, you need to look no further than this doc from your planning commission denying us events - and notice the date for appeal is Jan 9th and the county didn't mail it to us til Jan 13th. There is a good reason why Sierra county is ranked last in the state in every category and it starts with your planning commissioners. Most people had a great time last summer - except your new cranky planning commissioner who openly mocked us. Best of Luck Sierra County.

Hear ye, hear ye!

WEEKEND PASSES & SINGLE DAY TICKETS AVAILABLE AT THE LODGE!!!

Welcome to Camp Wakka Chikka weekend with The Motet, Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe and El Metate.

We can't wait to host both the great bands and the fans at Sierra Valley Lodge this weekend! Here is some key information to keep in mind:

Camping Rules
Please note the following to make this event successful and enjoyable for everyone:
- there are absolutely NO PETS allowed whatsoever. There are NO exceptions
- There is one car and 2 tents allowed and up to 8 people allowed on each camping pass
- There are one car and one RV for each RV pass and up to 8 people on a single RV Pass.
- ALL overnight campers must be registered and have a proper overnight wristband.
- We will have porta-potties and The Calpine Community bathrooms for overnight as well as the lodge
- Camping goes from Friday Afternoon to Monday morning.
- There are no OPEN FIRES allowed only camp stoves during daylight hours.

Weather
It will be quite warm during the day - up in the high 80's - then it will dive down to the low 50's during the night, so please bring sunscreen and mosquito repellent and dress accordingly for the mountain experience.

Locale
The lodge is situated in the beautiful, quaint mountain town of Calpine. We picked these great bands because we know you guys are great fans and are experienced and respectful concert-goers. We know you will respect the terrain and the neighbors. If any issues arise, please contact us at the front desk immediately. This event is a family affair, so please be mindful of children, and no stereos or loud partying allowed after 10:00pm.
Note: There is NO store in Calpine, so please stock up in Truckee or Reno before you arrive. However, no outside alcohol is allowed at the Lodge itself or on the decks. Note that everyone can use the ball field, tennis courts and playground is for the kids!

Weekend Ticketing, Lodging, and Overnight
Everyone needs to check in and get their weekend wristband which will give you all weekend access. Everyone over the age of 10 requires a wristband. Only wrist-banded individuals will be allowed on the property after showtime commences. There are no outdoor beverages allowed on Lodge property. There are also NO PETS allowed. Please note: We will keep the venue and the bar open right to 2am to allow late night fun.

Dining
We have a great Buffet schedule planned for Brunch/Lunch and Dinner! We use locally sourced produce and meats and we think this is a wide-ranging menu for everyone that is reasonable and accessible. Please join us for a meal or two and no reservations are required as all meals will be served Buffet Style.
