New Jersey FOP 218 sends our deepest condolences to the Virginia Beach Police Department and the families of the two hero officers that so tragically made the ultimate sacrifice last night.

It is with heavy hearts that FOP Lodge 218 announce the unfortunate passing of Brother Smarth’s loving partner, K9 Ghost, who served faithfully in the City of Camden for 7 years. Throughout K9 Ghost’s career, he successfully tracked numerous suspects, located hundreds of fi****ms, participated in a protective sweep for the visitation of the Pope and dozens of other accomplishments that he took extreme pride in. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Brother Smarth and his family during these trying times. K9 Ghost was surrounded by his family and the entire CCPD K9 Unit. Sleep easy Ghost, run free over the rainbow bridge 🐾 🐕
