For over 20 years, Megunticook Market and Catering was proudly known as the best market in town—a true neighborhood gem where locals came for fresh, high-quality food, warm service, and that genuine “local love” that made everyone feel like family.
I’m overjoyed to announce that I, Tracie, am the new owner, and my heartfelt commitment is to restore this market to the welcoming, community-centered spirit it was known and loved for from 2003 through 2023.
Until April, the market will continue to run normally with only minimal changes, so you can keep enjoying your favorites exactly as you have been. The current team will keep everything steady while I prepare to bring back the heart of what made this place so special.
This spring, with your patience and support, we’ll give Megunticook Market a fresh new facelift—thoughtful new policies, a blend of familiar faces you’ve missed and some wonderful new ones, an expanded selection of products (including more Asian specialties), and a renewed focus on the local love that built this market’s reputation.
You’ll especially notice our beloved pizzas and sandwiches returning with new, lower, more affordable prices designed with our loyal locals in mind.
Great things are on the way—please give me a little time to make it all happen, and together we’ll bring Megunticook Market back to the place our community has always cherished.

We are partnering up with our sister companies VillageSoup and Villager Cafe for this food drive! Today we got a donation box up in the hallway between the cafe and the Mechanic Street Barbershop. Please stop by with a donation if you are able!

Now through Friday, Nov. 21 drop off non-perishable items at the Villager Cafe or the Inn at Camden Place, 14 Tannery Lane, Camden.

All donations will go directly to the Camden Area Christian Food Pantry. We hope to make multiple donations over the coming month to help families affected by the loss of the SNAP program.

The most requested items include dry pasta, crackers in sleeves (saltines, Ritz, etc.), pasta sauce, macaroni and cheese, vegetable oil, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, instant mashed potatoes, stuffing, and canned cranberry sauce. However, we will happily accept any non-perishable item you can donate.

We will have donation boxes set up at the inn to take in any non perishable food items you may be willing to donate to our food drive! All items will be donated to the Camden Area Christian Food Pantry.

We are looking to hire a housekeeper to work Tuesdays and Fridays from 8-1 and Saturdays 8-4, starting now through atleast October with the potential of it being year round.

We are so excited to be going into our summer season with two newly renovated rooms for our guests! A huge thank you to Mark, Todd and Larry at Miller & Miller construction for making this happen for us. This included a complete bathroom demo, new flooring and walls in both rooms. I can not recommend them enough!

We are looking for housekeeping and front desk staff for the upcoming season, which will start at the beginning of May. We will be closed for the month of April, but will hold interviews during that time.
