Recently recognized through Alabama's Century & Heritage Farm Program, Liberty Hall is one of Wilcox County's treasured historic places and one of a select number of farms in our county to receive this distinction.

In addition to celebrating this special recognition, we'll be sharing plans for upcoming WHS meetings, special events, day trips, and exciting updates on our 2027 Pine Apple Tour of Homes.

Come enjoy an afternoon of history, fellowship, and conversation in a beautiful setting. And yes, there will be cake as we celebrate this important milestone!

On May 25, 2020, exactly 6 years ago today, our lovely friends Tammy and Scottie Myers stopped by to see us. We missed them that day, but Scottie took a picture of Tammy on our front porch, and shared it with us. Simply beautiful.
They first came to stay with us at Liberty Hall Bed and Breakfast in the summer of 2019, then the fall of 2019, then several more times until they purchased Pleasant Ridge. They "blamed" us for making them fall in love with this area, and for wanting to host a Bed and Breakfast. The first Sunday morning they were here, they asked about an old church to attend. I first suggested Canton Bend Methodist, but they weren't having service on that particular Sunday. Next I recommended Camden Presbyterian Church. They loved it there. She wanted to sing in a choir, and sing she did. She and Scottie made many life changes to be able to locate here. They were totally living out their dreams. She told me several times "Julia, mimicry is the highest form of flattery." Dud and I took it as a great compliment. We loved having them close by. So many things I could share.....
We won't understand this side of heaven why things happened as they did.
Tomorrow, we will celebrate the life of Tammy Burks Myers at the Camden Presbyterian Church. Our lives were blessed by Tammy and Scottie. May God continue to comfort their family and friends, and hold Scottie close.

Dud and I were honored to host the staff of Alabama B.A.S.S. Nation again this past weekend. They are fantastic people doing a great job with fishing tournaments in our state. They love our area, love Liberty Hall, and especially love Dud's breakfasts. They make it mighty easy for us to love having them here. 😀

9 years ago today, Dud and I hosted our first official guest at Liberty Hall Bed and Breakfast.
God has blessed us beyond all we could have imagined, and we are so very thankful. What a ride. 👍
We are also thankful to all of YOU who have supported us, encouraged us, stayed with us, and prayed with us over the years.
We hope we have been a blessing to you. 😀

We had never met this mother and daughter before they checked in.
But, they totally uncovered our hearts this past weekend. Thank you ever so much. 💓
