Beautiful fully restored Victorian B&B in heart of Canandaigua's historic district; all guest rooms It's the only room in Canandaigua with a private balcony!

A fabulous three-room Bed and Breakfast in the heart of New York Finger Lakes' wine country. All guest rooms have private (ensuite) baths, some with jetted tubs and fireplaces. Our ever popular Ann Eliza Suite has a private balcony to enjoy that early morning cup of coffee or late day glass of wine. Each morning guests wake to a fresh three-course breakfast. We serve a fresh fruit dish, a fresh (a

nd often surprisingly different) pastry course, and then a hot entree that fills you up for most of the day. Breakfast is the highlight of what we do, so we tend to make a big deal of it. If we can use local produce, we will. In all cases, we want it to be memorable to our guests for a very long time.

IT MUST BE SPRING!

Lovely Lilacs abound already at Highland Park in Rochester with hundreds of lilac bushes in bloom (peak blossoming within the week I'd say) and Pretty Pansies are plentiful. And we are ready for one of our favorite things to do this time of year - kayaking :) Canadice Lake (pic) is one of our ideal paddles in the Finger Lakes. (If you don't have a kayak, Canadice Lake Outfitters is now open for kayak rentals!)

GORGEOUS GORGE HIKING THIS WINTER!

Along a portion of the Finger Lakes Trail in Hammondsport, NY, Pleasant Valley Road (parking on right side thereof heading SE by farm with vineyards), about a 5m loop, easy to moderate hike that crosses a creek and follows rim of a gorge; we encountered one other hiker and followed turkey tracks most of the way! Peaceful 😊

THURSDAY SUMMER LAWN CONCERT!

Directly Across the Street from Bella Rose at Granger Homestead & Carriage Museum :)

Enjoy a country rock concert on Thursday, June 24, 2021 from 6:30 – 8:30 pm on the lawn of Granger Homestead & Carriage Museum, 295 N. Main Street, Canandaigua, NY. The band Tailor Made with Tink Bennett has opened for Lady Antebellum, Charlie Daniels, Josh Thompson, Sammy Kershaw, and Molly Hatchet, among other national bands.

Tickets are $25 each and can be purchased at Grangerhomestead.org. Bring your blanket and lawn chairs for seating in designated areas. Food trucks and refreshments (beer, wine etc.) are available for purchase on site. Gates open at 5 p.m. (Please, no coolers or containers permitted.) Ages 16+. See you there!

PICTURESQUE PEONIES!

We happened upon acres and acres of peonies between Canandaigua and Geneva while touring the Finger Lakes this past weekend - just breathtaking. The farm owner (Styer's) permits you to drive around the farm roads to view them up close - grateful we were in our Jeep! Hopefully you can view them in the next week while still can at 3212 Sutton Road, Geneva :)

A great hike down to Hemlock Lake this Spring...

via Rob's Trail - aptly named ;) It's 8 miles round trip, but you can just go to the lake and back for a 3 mile trip to shorten your hike if you prefer. The way back up is a decent workout with an 800' elevation. There's two pretty waterfalls about midway down (on 2 different creeks). If you don't like mud, this trail is better in early Spring when ground still hard or Summer or Fall if a dry autumn. Peaceful!

We Couldn't Have Gotten Through This Year Without You!

As Fall winds down, please know we are so grateful to have had a steady stream of guests in this topsy turvy world. We continue to host only one room at a time since March 2020 to maximize social distancing and will continue this approach of only one couple at a time in our guest wing until at least April 30, 2021. Stay Safe....

We hope that all of you and yours are doing well! We are hunkering down, catching up on last year's paperwork, Spring cleaning with extra disinfectant, and just trying to help flatten the curve. Thankfully, the Finger Lakes present a lot of outdoor activities, and we are able to get outside while social distancing and explore new hiking and kayaking trails (pics are from two trails we enjoyed this past weekend).
