One of our favorite parts of this job? Reading the guest books!

Every cabin has one and every single entry reminds us why we do what we do. The black bear sightings, the family dinners on the porch, the couples who came to unplug and ended up staying an extra night. We love all of it.

We love hearing about your WNC adventures, so make sure you leave your mark in one of our guest books during your stay this fall. Tell us about your trip, your favorite moment, the waterfall you stumbled on, the meal you made on the grill. Future guests will read it and so will we.

We get asked all the time if a visit to The Biltmore Estate is worth the price. The answer is yes. 

175,000 square feet. 250 rooms. 35 bedrooms. 43 bathrooms. 65 fireplaces. 8,000 acres. Built in 1889 and still owned by the same family to this day. Oh and fun fact, the land George Vanderbilt’s widow donated after his death became Pisgah National Forest. So Biltmore basically gave us that too.

Your ticket gets you the house, the gardens, Antler Hill Village and a complimentary w**e tasting at the w**ery. If you want to go further here are the add-ons worth knowing about:

🏰 The Upstairs Downstairs Tour — the servant quarters side of the house is the one most people skip and the one most people wish they hadn’t

🍷 Red W**e and Chocolate Seminar or the Vine to W**e Tour

🐴 Horseback trail rides and carriage rides through the grounds 

🌿 Farm to Table Tour — a look at the working side of the estate most guests never see including the cattle, vineyards and greenhouses

🦅 Falconry, fly fishing, Land Rover off-road tours and archery if you want a little adventure with your history

And Christmas is coming. The entire estate gets decorated and the candlelight evening tours are one of those things you will still be talking about years later. Those dates go fast so start looking now.

If you are staying with us and haven’t made it to Cup and Saucer in Brevard yet, we need to talk. ☕🍂

Locally owned and operated, right on Main Street in Brevard and just minutes from the Parkway and Pisgah Forest. It is the perfect stop before a morning hike or a slow start to a do nothing kind of day.

The in house baked goods and treats are worth the trip alone. Indoor and outdoor seating so you can soak up those crisp fall mornings outside when the weather is being kind. And if you want our order? The house made chai topped with pumpkin cold foam. That is fall in a cup.
