This exhilarating climb takes you up 500 steps to the top of Chimney Rock. This impressive rock formation is a short 40-minute drive from downtown Asheville and is a fantastic place to spend an afternoon hiking and then enjoying some dinner and shopping at the quaint Chimney Rock Village. Chimney Rock Park is also home to the 404-foot Hickory Nut Falls, which was featured in the classic movie The Last of the Mohicans.
