Outdoor Recreation (ODR) provides low cost rentals for a range of items including camping gear, sports equipment, BBQ and catering equipment, inflatable bouncy toys, lawn and garden equipment, ski and snowboarding equipment, and much more to anyone with base access. Also available for rent are boats and campers.
All tow-able equipment requires a 2 inch ball hitch, with the exception of the car hauler, which requires a 2 5/16 ball hitch. If you do not have a hitch, we do have those available for rent. To rent a boat with ODR you will need to provide a New Mexico boater safety certificate, which can be found at boatus.org. When you’ve completed the course, print out your certificate and bring into ODR to be filed.
Our facilities include Unity Park and 9 hole disc golf course, Doc Stewart pavilion and skate park, DZ Aquatic Center, Community Garden and RV Lot. All facilities can be reserved in person at ODR. We also specialize in caring for personal ski/snowboard equipment. Coming soon, a brand new, state-of-the-art Trap and S***t range!
ODR also hosts a variety of adventurous outdoor trips. Some include ski/snowboarding, horseback riding, white water rafting, Carlsbad Caverns and zip lining. Hiking and camping trips may also include Lincoln National Forrest, Ruidoso/Cloudcroft and Santa Fe.
