Sometimes trying to create something new feels like this.
Here at Little Canyon Inn we are serious about supporting small businesses.
What doesn't get talked about enough is that:
independent musicians are small businesses too.
Over the years, we've hosted and spent time chatting with a number of singer-songwriters at Little Canyon Inn.
Their stories sound a lot like those of entrepreneurs: creating, marketing, traveling, networking, and working tirelessly to build something they believe in(Insert writing, recording, booking their own shows, loading their own gear, promoting their own shows, driving across the county etc.).
After listening to many of our singer/songwriter friends, here are 3 simple ways you can support independent musicians, :
Use their music in your posts and reels.
Instead of reaching for the latest trending sound, use music from independent artists. Every use helps introduce their work to new listeners.
Follow, stream, and pre-save their music.
Adding songs to playlists and pre-saving upcoming releases can significantly increase an artist's visibility when new music launches.
Go see live original music.
There's something special about hearing a song performed by the person who wrote it. Your ticket, tip, and support make a real difference. Don't forget to buy their merch.
Our rooms have hosted travelers, adventurers, families, and more than a few musicians chasing a dream. We know how much heart, determination, and hard work go into creating new music. That's why we're proud to support independent artists just as strongly as we support local businesses.
The next time you're building a playlist or looking for something to do on a Saturday night, consider choosing an independent artist. Small acts of support add up, and for many musicians, they make all the difference.
Rachael Thanks for almost smashing your guitar during your stay here.
