Time to reserve your site for our Halloween event! We have several sites available. Here’s what’s happening at the campground October 24th 🎃 Hayrack rides, Kid’s Games, Soup Cook-off at 5:00 PM, Costume Contest at 6:00 PM and Trick-or-Treating camper style following. The camper with the best decorations will win a prize! Enter your best soup in the contest. $5 to taste. All campers and their guests are welcome. See you all soon!

It’s almost time for Labor Day Weekend and we’re making plans for the Annual Shrimp Boil.

The Shrimp Boil will be Sunday Night at 5:00 pm ($20/plate for age 13 & older & $10/plate for age 6-12. Bring your own drinks. Music following the Shrimp Boil will be provided by "The Sounds the Limit". Please let me know how many at your campsite plan to eat with us Sunday evening by messaging me or replying to this post. Thanks and see you all this upcoming weekend! Looking forward to it!

** We’ll have chicken strips, fries, and a few other non-shrimp boil selections for anyone who does not like shrimp.

Here’s an update on what’s happening this coming July 4th weekend at Lazy Dayz Campground:
* Friday, July 3rd @ 6 PM - Hog Roast - Meat, Buns and Tableware provided - Bring a covered dish or dessert to share and your own drinks
* Friday, July 3rd at dark - Fireworks 🧨
* Saturday, July 4th @ 11 AM - Bags Tournament - $20 per team
It’s going to be a hot one so make sure you bring your swimsuits!! See you soon!

Here is our activity line-up thus far for 2026:
May 23rd – Annual Wingfest – Taste Testing $8 from 3 to 5 PM. Get your best wing recipes ready to enter!

June 13th – Music Trivia – Cowboy Theme – 6 to 9 PM followed by music from 9 to 11 PM - $80 per team and up to eight on a team. Call or email ahead to reserve your team.

July 3rd or 4th – Fireworks

July 4th – Annual Co****le Tournament and Hog Roast Carry-In

September 6th – Annual Shrimp Boil followed by music in the large shelter house

October 24th – Annual Halloween Event

Taking reservations for all weekends. We have new playground equipment and don’t forget about our pool, fishing, volleyball courts and basketball court! Hope to see you all soon 😊

Lazy Dayz friends - I know many of you know my brother Jeff and his wife Krys (Krykette) who camp with us and help us so much at the campground. I want to share some news with you regarding their youngest son, Benet, and ask for your prayers and support.

Benet Duesterhaus, was in a serious accident in Michigan last Saturday, October 11. He suffered a severe spinal cord injury and faces a long road of uncertainty ahead.

Benet’s mom has been by his side around the clock while Jeff, Brenner Duesterhaus and Rayvin Storm Knox have been taking care of the business and everything else back home. They're navigating a lot of unknown territory like hospital care, rehab plans, and what comes next. A GoFundMe and PayPal has been created to help with the associated costs as they work to bring him closer to home and support his recovery.
