Lazy Dayz friends - I know many of you know my brother Jeff and his wife Krys (Krykette) who camp with us and help us so much at the campground. I want to share some news with you regarding their youngest son, Benet, and ask for your prayers and support.

Benet Duesterhaus, was in a serious accident in Michigan last Saturday, October 11. He suffered a severe spinal cord injury and faces a long road of uncertainty ahead.

Benet’s mom has been by his side around the clock while Jeff, Brenner Duesterhaus and Rayvin Storm Knox have been taking care of the business and everything else back home. They're navigating a lot of unknown territory like hospital care, rehab plans, and what comes next. A GoFundMe and PayPal has been created to help with the associated costs as they work to bring him closer to home and support his recovery.

We are getting ready for our Halloween activities. Here’s what’s happening at the campground October 25th 🎃 Hayrack rides, Kid’s Games, Soup Cook-off at 5:00 PM, Costume Contest at 6:00 PM and Trick-or-Treating camper style following. The camper with the best decorations will win a prize too!! Enter your best soup in the contest. $5 to taste. All campers and guests are welcome. Also needed to let you know that our pumpkin patch did not do well so we will not have pumpkins this year. See you all soon!

Labor Day Weekend is almost here and we’re making plans for the Annual Shrimp Boil.

The Shrimp Boil will be Sunday Night at 5:00 pm ($20/plate for age 13 & older & $10/plate for age 6-12. Music following the Shrimp Boil will be provided by "The Sounds the Limit". Please let me know how many at your campsite plan to eat with us Sunday evening by messaging me or replying to this post. Thanks and see you all this upcoming weekend! Looking forward to it!

** We’ll have chicken strips, fries, and a few other non-shrimp boil selections for anyone who does not like shrimp.

Looking for a camp host to help out at our campground with light duties such as pool maintenance, cleaning bathrooms and checking in campers when Danny and I aren’t there. Retired couple would be ideal. Please give us a call if you know of anyone that would be interested. 573-822-7070 Thanks!!

Looking forward to seeing you all this weekend for the July 4th holiday. Saturday will be a full day of activities. Bags tournament starts at Noon on Saturday - $20/team entry fee. Hog roast (meat and tableware provided) at 6 PM. Please join us in the large shelter house and bring a covered dish or dessert to share and your own drinks. We will end the night with fireworks at dark. Happy 4th for all you Happy Campers!!

It’s almost Memorial Day Weekend. On Saturday, we will have our traditional Wingfest. We need entries so please have your best recipes ready! Tasting will start at 3 PM and the cost is $8 to taste. Prizes for 1st and 2nd place.

The pool will be open so hopefully the weather is good so you can enjoy it. Hope you have a wonderful time camping with us this weekend!!

The Chefs are busy cooking! Don’t forget about our barbecue contest today at 5 PM. Brisket, Ribs, Turkey, Chicken, Meat Loaf, and so much more! $10 for 13 and older, $5 for ages 6 - 12. Campers and non-campers welcome!! Bring your own drinks. Hope to see you at 5.
