ke and river waters. Water activities are easily accessible as all three of our homes are located directly on the waterfront. You will be able to conveniently enjoy all the lake has to offer. Canyon Lake is recognized throughout the state of Texas as having the clearest water of any Texas lake. The Guadalupe River feeds Canyon Lake and has some of the best tubing, fishing, kayaking, boating, and rafting in Texas. Many of our guests love to go "toobing" down the Guadalupe River at the Horseshoe. We are located in a small community and close to a boat ramp, a small grocery store, and several restaurants. Canyon Lake is well known for it's great fishing for bass, striped bass, white bass, crappie, perch, and very large catfish. Very few know of the Vacation Canyon Lake secret. Our secret - We constantly feed the fish in our coves via underwater fish feeders that attract minnows that slowly release a constant stream of nutrients - Nutrients that attract minnows that in turn attract larger fish. This makes for GREAT fishing! Children and adults thoroughly enjoy the experience of reeling in fish of all sizes while fishing from our shoreline. Vacations don't get any better than this! Canyon Lake is simply AWESOME! All of our homes have amazing views of the lake. We are situated on the South side of Canyon Lake near the community of Statzville. The cedar and oak woods are saturated with wildlife. The neighborhood is shared with pet-like deer. Deer and other wildlife are abundant and can be seen in the neighborhood any time of the day. It is a very peaceful, calming, and natural environment which is conducive to a wonderfully relaxing vacation. Gruene Hall, Texas' oldest dance hall, is located on the Guadalupe River with it's famous live music and is only a short 15 minute drive away. Gruene also offers great restaurants, spas, and shops. We are centrally located between Austin and San Antonio with unlimited tourist attractions in the area. If your vacation plans include a trip to San Antonio to visit Sea World, Fiesta Texas, the Riverwalk, Natural Bridge Caverns, or the Alamo, we are only a short drive to US281 or IH-35 to take you quickly to San Antonio. Austin, known for it's live music and numerous exquisite restaurants, is only an hour drive away and is well worth a day trip or night out on the town. Don't forget to visit San Marcos with it's famous Tanger Outlet Mall or the Power Olympic Whitewater Kayaking Center located on the San Marcos River. We are about 20 minutes to the nearby town of New Braunfels with Schlitterbahn Water Park and the Comal River. New Braunfels has many festivals throughout the year including Wurstfest and numerous other festivities. Day trips to heritage-rich central Texas towns, such as Fredricksburg, Kerrville, Johnson City, Bandera, Wimberly, Boerne, Blanco, and San Marcos make us a top location for lodging.
