The Barrier Islands Center presents The Native Shore
BIC invites you to a free premiere screening of The Native Shore, our ninth documentary film produced with filmmaker and director Jim Spione. In this latest project, we explore the rich history of Native Americans on the Eastern Shore of Virginia and around the Chesapeake Bay, broadening BIC’s documentary work dedicated to this remarkable region. See the film premiere in Cape Charles on Thursday, June 18 at 7:00 p.m. at The Palace Theatre. This screening is free and open to the public and will include a Q&A with director Jim Spione.

Happy Labor Day weekend from Pine and Pecan Shore Estate! There's nothing like a relaxing afternoon on the Bay, and the view from up here is just incredible. If you're in the area, be sure to check out the '60s-themed LoveFest happening tonight in Central Park, Cape Charles! It's a free concert with live music, and it's always a good time. Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend!

It was great being back at the house last week! The sights and sounds of the shore are intoxicating. I love the clouds and all the birds and insect voices in the trees. This short video of the backyard shows one of my favorite parts of the property.
