Despite Hurricane Ian - Whale Ya Later Villa had very minimal damage. 🙏🏼

Cape Coral is still the same and almost everything is up and running like normal!

No words to even describe the destruction that has been done!

By the grace of God 🙏🏼 and my guardian angel (my dad) 😇 and all your throughts and prayers our home is almost as good as I left her last Sunday. Fortunately we just have a few tiny things to fix.

My heart is absolutely breaking for all of Florida and I can’t even imagine what everyone is going through.
Ian sure destroyed our home away from home/Paradise! ☀️🌴

Please continue to send your throughts and prayers to family and friends down there who have homes that have damage and homes that have been lost.

Special thanks to my friends for getting our boat into storage in time and checking on the place afterwards! You are all very much appreciated! 🤗🥰

I will be heading down Tuesday with a packed car and trailer. If you are interested in donating….please get ahold of me! Some of them have literally lost everything, so anything is greatly appreciated! 😭🙏🏼

HELLO. Welcome to Whale Ya Later Villa.

My name is Ashley and my husband is Scott. We just finished building our home away from home January 2021.
We have 3 kiddos & live in southern Wisconsin.
We own a concrete company, so during the summer months it’s hard for us to enjoy our home. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do!

You may be thinking "Well that's a weird name to call your vacation home!?"

And this is where it all came from.....

The name "Whale" started way back when I was a little girl growing up in my hometown of Emily, Minnesota.
My brother and cousin started calling me "Whale."
My middle name is Dale, so of course you can imagine why they maybe thought it was so funny when I was little.
It has stuck ever since.

During the building process of our home I was struggling to find the right name for our home.
We went through so many ideas.
I was on the phone one day with my cousin trying to come up with a good name and all of a sudden the "Whale Ya Later" was chosen!
We laughed hysterically for awhile about it and today I can't imagine it being anything else!
