🦉✨ Our guests captured some incredible shots of one of Southwest Florida’s most beloved little residents — the burrowing owl!

These photos were taken by guests staying at one of our vacation rentals, and we just had to share them. How adorable are they?!

Unlike most owls, burrowing owls live underground in burrows rather than nesting in trees. They’re also active during the day, so visitors have a much better chance of spotting them than many other owl species. Standing only about 9 inches tall, they may be small, but they have huge personalities and are known for their curious, expressive faces.

One of the things we love most about Southwest Florida is that every stay comes with opportunities to experience these little guys up close!
