🐊⛳ The gator has decided the 18th fairway belongs to him today. The golfers have decided to wait. This is Florida golf. This has always been Florida golf. 🌴

Florida golf courses are essentially wildlife preserves with better-maintained grass. Alligators, sandhill cranes, burrowing owls, and gopher tortoises all consider the manicured landscape their personal territory, and golfers — especially the experienced Florida ones — long ago made peace with this arrangement. You wait for the gator to move. You do not rush the gator. The gator is on Florida time.
