Uneven sidewalks are a tripping hazard. We had our sidewalks sanded down last spring because it was looking pretty bad. The last thing we want to happen is someone to get hurt during their time walking down the beautiful streets of Cape May…. And certainly not a a good thing to happen on your vacation. City of Cape may fire prevention to share the cost of replacing the sidewalks. Although it was no longer a tripping hazard because of the work we did last year we were happy to have it look better..

So nice to have people who do work for you also appreciate you. We had a fabulous Sign maker and artistic Painter, Brian ( who was known all over Cape may County for his beautiful artistry )but passed away last year. A few years ago when Brian was so super busy, he gave me the phone number of a friend who can help me with a small project.. Eric has done a great job for me over the past couple of years. Most recently we went to our backyard at the John F Craig house and found this sign hanging on our outdoor shower and shed. Like where did that come from? I remembered asking Eric if he can paint something for me for that wall and that we would meet to discuss it, but we had not met yet.
Could he have made that for me?? I called him and he said that he made it the night before and thought it would be perfect for the outside of my outdoor shower at a Victorian home. He wouldn’t take any money for it. He told me it was a gift.! Such a nice guy. Thank you, Eric.! and thank you Brian for connecting me to another wonderful Artist.

A few childhood friends visiting for the weekend. And all these years, I’ve only done a horse and carriage ride once. Well, I enjoyed the second time with the girls from the hood. Lovely to ride around town on a gorgeous day and see great scenery, beautiful Victorian homes and people-watch from the inside comfort of a clip-clopping carriage ride.

Took a break from work work work in our pre summer season frenzy to get everything done on time.
My childhood girlfriends came down for a long weekend, which coincidentally worked out to be the sidewalk sale weekend. We found a few good deal, a delicious dinner at Sapore. Walked around town. And drove to see the lighthouse at night. We have had an unfortunate July cancellation in our Wildwood crush Home with built-in swimming pool. It is available again, July 12 to the 19th..
