Comfortable elegance ... uncluttered guest rooms .. 1/2 block to the beach! Cape May's only B&B originally designed as a guest house.

Built in 1882, The Mooring now offers eight uncluttered guest rooms and two suites, each with a mix of period antiques and contemporary furnishings to ensure a memorable and comfortable stay. All rooms/suites have private bath, air-conditioning, flat screen cable TV, and complimentary WiFi. We have some rooms with ocean view and two with semi-private porch. Our suites and premium rooms have an ass

igned, on-site parking space. The two standard rooms are without on-site parking, but free street parking is just out front. Breakfast is served daily at tables for two, and includes a continental buffet as well as a varying menu of freshly prepared entree selections (sweet or savory) and "appetizers" (try the Greek yogurt with honey and homemade granola!). Stroll the tree-lined streets and admire Cape May's many architectural gems, or take a tour by trolley or horse-drawn carriage. Shop the Washington Street Mall, visit the Zoo, picnic at the Winery ... or just relax on the beach!

Our Story

Our suites and premium rooms each have an assigned, on-site parking space. The two standard rooms are without on-site parking, but free street parking is just out front. Breakfast is served daily at tables for two, and includes a continental buffet as well as a rotating selection of freshly prepared entrees (a savory and a sweet each day). Start with our Greek yogurt parfait, a guest favorite: creamy yogurt layered with fresh fruit, drizzled with wildflower honey, and topped with homemade granola!
