Comfortable elegance ... uncluttered guest rooms .. 1/2 block to the beach! Cape May's only B&B originally designed as a guest house.

Built in 1882, The Mooring now offers eight uncluttered guest rooms and two suites, each with a mix of period antiques and contemporary furnishings to ensure a memorable and comfortable stay. All rooms/suites have private bath, air-conditioning, flat screen cable TV, and complimentary WiFi. We have some rooms with ocean view and two with semi-private porch. Our suites and premium rooms have an ass

igned, on-site parking space. The two standard rooms are without on-site parking, but free street parking is just out front. Breakfast is served daily at tables for two, and includes a continental buffet as well as a varying menu of freshly prepared entree selections (sweet or savory) and "appetizers" (try the Greek yogurt with honey and homemade granola!). Stroll the tree-lined streets and admire Cape May's many architectural gems, or take a tour by trolley or horse-drawn carriage. Shop the Washington Street Mall, visit the Zoo, picnic at the Winery ... or just relax on the beach!

Our Story

Cape May's only B&B originally designed as a guest house. Built in 1882, The Mooring now offers eight uncluttered guest rooms and two suites, each with a mix of period antiques and contemporary furnishings to ensure a memorable and comfortable stay. All rooms/suites have private bath, air-conditioning, flat-screen cable TV, and complimentary WiFi. We have some rooms with ocean view and two with semi-private porch. Our suites and premium rooms each have an assigned, on-site parking space. The two standard rooms are without on-site parking, but free street parking is just out front. Breakfast is served daily at tables for two, and includes a continental buffet as well as a rotating selection of freshly prepared entrees (a savory and a sweet each day). Start with our Greek yogurt parfait, a guest favorite: creamy yogurt layered with fresh fruit, drizzled with wildflower honey, and topped with homemade granola!
