In our next installment of “Stories From the Porch,” we’re honored to feature Susie Satterfield, whose family helped shape The Chalfonte for generations.

Susie’s grandmother, Mary Minor Satterfield, managed The Chalfonte for more than 40 years, and the Satterfield family owned the hotel from 1910 to 1983. Through Susie’s memories, we get a glimpse into the people, traditions, and spirit that made The Chalfonte such a special place for so many.

Every porch has a story. This one spans generations. ✨
