Skies over Capitola from our rooftop terrace may show some of the classic autumn constellations, whenever the marine layer cooperates.
Look for:
Cassiopeia: the distinctive "W" shape high in the northeast.
Pegasus: the large Great Square rising prominently in the east.
Andromeda: extending from Pegasus; home to the Andromeda Galaxy. 
Pisces and Cetus: fainter constellations associated with the autumn sky. Saturn is currently in Cetus, making that region easier to locate. 
Ta**us: rising later in the evening with the bright Pleiades star cluster nearby. Uranus is currently in Ta**us. 
Orion: the great hunter begins climbing above the eastern horizon later at night and is one of the easiest constellations to recognize. The annual Orionid meteor shower occurs in this part of the sky during October. 
Planet you'll likely notice:
Saturn is up much of the night and is currently one of the brightest objects in the evening sky.
