No more pics, I promise! But over 5 days, it was 48 large Kubota buckets (20-25 cubic yards) of mulch between the 2 houses (and ran out before I could do the back yards).

So here was today’s work. I’m done and enjoying the view and a beer.

Hopefully I’ll get the gravel for the driveway and get that done next week.

Finally got the front yard done at the house (LOTS of mulch, limbed up the seagrape more like a tree than a bush and 1/3 of my beach daisy/ground cover has come back after Hurricane IAN 15 months ago).

You wouldn’t believe how green and covered with yellow flowers the whole front yard is when the beach daisy has fully filled in.

Hopefully I’ll get the seagrape cuttings chipped next week … and new gravel on the driveway in a few weeks!

Can’t wait to get my exteriors finished.

North Captiva Island has great opportunities for watching the stars and meteor showers with our focus on "Dark Sky" and the lack of urban light pollution of the cities on the mainland.

There are lots of opportunities in 2022 for night-time viewing.

Find a dark place. Lay back, look up and see what the cosmos has to offer.

Maybe this explains the high prices that the pricing software is recommending for next year? I wonder if the prices might go even higher for guests that delay finalising their bookings at the end of the year or early next year.

The 2022 edition of "The Old Farmer's Almanac" is predicting a winter so cold they're calling it a "season of shivers."

For renters that haven't looked at prices last year and this year, all prices have surged pretty much everywhere, including North Captiva Island based on demand. Most owners on the island have had very busy seasons this year .. and fall and winter is already started booking.

Popular summer vacation rentals are pricier and harder to book. After a dip in 2020, rates and demand are back to 2019 levels, if not higher.
