Our Spacious over the garage studio shares the same property and amenities as the Cottage on the Kennebec . I'm not the best at posting on both pages. Feel free to message or call us with any questions about renting directly, to help avoid booking fees. We also love when extended families book both places and do a full takeover of the place. We still have dates in August and September open.

When new guests realize they get a whole lot more here than just lodging... canoe, kayaks, paddleboards, firepit and firewood, hammock, etc. It's great to see people enjoying the property.

Exciting news for us! A new coffee and pastries truck will be opening soon on the lot at the end of our camp road. Sierra Leavitt is an experienced barrista, and we can't wait to try some of the goodies she creates.

July weekday special: For the weeks Sunday 7th through the morning of Friday the 12th and Sunday the 14th through the morning of Friday the 19th of July, if you book 3 nights at our waterfront studio, (king bed, and a twin bed - open and spacious, air conditioned) - you'll get a 4th night free. It's 45 easy minutes of scenic driving from Skowhegan, with a river to float, lake to swim, mountains to hike, fishing spots galore, and waterfalls to see. For $135/night, and use of the property, free firewood, paddleboards and canoe, it's a steal. Book directly with us to avoid booking platform fees. Message with questions. I'm happy to answer.

Book a guided fishing trip for anytime this season with Mike with one night stay at either of our waterfront rentals, and get a second night at half price. When the seasons are 'on' in the Forks area, it is amazing how many options there are for good food. The snow is here, and it's good snow. The season is now 'ON'. Whether you are coming up for snowshoe adventure, snowmobiling, exploring the woods on cross country skis, there will be access to great food. If you don't feel like a sit down dinner, but want some comfort food, Berry's General Store has you covered with their takeout menu on the weekends. Jillian Berry and Brandon Berry have unveiled their expanded winter menu. Check it out

The wintry view from the Studio Apartment is pretty special. It's booked for the winter, but we are taking reservations now for Spring through Fall of 2024.

One of the things air bnb hosts tend to do is share the horror stories of renting with each other. Sure, we've had the occasional uncomfortable moment of an unhappy guest, almost always about something beyond our control, such as the weather, etc. Or those times we've opened the door to clean, and there were some basic etiquette rules broken. But our experience has been 99.99% positive. It's been what I envisioned; hosting and meeting nice people who want to relax in a calm, peaceful environment, people who want to explore the woods and waterways of our area, or people who just need a great place to get together with friends or family. Some lovely guests from Pennsylvania left us these custom made travel tumblers and water bottles, with a photo taken from our property. We've met some cool, thoughtful people during the last 5 summers of hosting.

Our special property, full of fun, no doubt, can also be a place of quiet reflection. I sit here this morning, listening to birdsong that makes me feel as though I'm in the rain forest. The breeze is ruffling the poplar leaves, and I'm not hurrying with a second cup of coffee while I look out at the finally still water, after more than a month of rainy days. There is history here. These are the lands of the Wabanaki. Before them, this was ocean. This rock, and many like it, are on the property. Layers of seashells embedded, capturing proof of memories not our own.

Patiently waiting for the Ann Labonte Caratunk resort takeover. 10 of her closest friends in both the cottage and the apartment. Bring on the adventures. Rafting and relaxation are in order.
