It took a lot of negotiating, several snack breaks, and at least one questionable counteroffer, but we have officially come to terms with the three new ToteDrop Joplin leadership team members.
Part of the reason we wanted to build this startup business was to give the kids a fun way to learn how a real business works, assisting with inventory, costs, customers, marketing, responsibility, and all the little things that go into building something from the ground up.
First up is our mathematician, who will be taking on the role of CFO — the Cash Flow Overlord. He’ll be helping with the numbers side of the business, counting totes, finances, and making sure Dad’s math is not “close enough.”
Next, our artistic one. She is always creative and loves making things look sharp. She has accepted the role of CMO — the Cute Marketing Officer. Her responsibilities include approving colors, judging designs, Facebook post ideas, and letting us know when something “needs more pretty.”
And finally, the youngest is stepping into the most important role of CEO — "C" Every Operation. Being the youngest, she just wants to see everything happen, point at a few things, blabber, and simply make sure everyone knows she is in charge!
