Faculty Appreciation Day was beautiful with families savoring fishing, canoeing, games, art and hikes at Whispering Pines. Lawson Monken caught 21 fish (the most) and Landon Netemeyer caught the largest fish (13.5 inches). A super day with friends, families and volunteers of WP! An appreciation gift was given to each family and a t-shirt for the participants of the youth fishing tournament! Thank you for coming out ~ 🌲

Thank you Mike and Marge Detmer & family for being a part of the fourth Memorial Day Ceremony at WPofCC. Greg Riechman, Deacon Dan Laquet, Angie Kloeckner, Mike Wilton, Ian Diamond, Venture Crew, Helen Renschen, Dana Timmermann and Taylor Becker were part of the presentation in the Lodge. Whispering Pines of Clinton County warmly welcomes you, your family, and friends to join us on Memorial Day, May 25, in our new lodge as we honor those recognized through our commemorative bricks and benches.

The ceremony will begin at 1:00 PM with a presentation of the flags by the Venture Crew & Scouts, followed by the National Anthem performed by Angie Kloeckner. Guest speakers for the event include Deacon Dan Laquet, Vietnam Veteran Mike Detmer, and Marge Detmer, with Greg Riechman serving as Master of Ceremonies. The program will also include the reading of the commemorative bricks and benches and conclude with WPofCC participating in the nationwide “Taps Across America” tribute presented by Mike Wilton and his grandson Ian Diamond.

Following the ceremony, guests are invited to enjoy refreshments and golf cart tours of the grounds.

Our next brick and bench dedication ceremony will be held on October 11, 2026.
