Dahlia Day!

Summer came early this year! Time to get the dahlia garden into tip top shape. I dislike w**ds just as much as I love dahlias so this year we put down a w**d barrier. Yay! We worked dawn to dusk but mission accomplished.

Soon guests will be able to enjoy the garden and beautiful fresh cut flowers!

Pumpkins and sunflowers are next!

Just wow! An annual moms getaway group left this thoughtful gift at the end of their stay…. and they made the beds like members of the military. Super impressed and thankful!

Crazy weather this week. Two weeks ago it was nearly 60 degrees as I was putting the dahlia to bed for the winter. Then bam.. winter! We lost power for 24 hours at our own house but luckily we were able to stay at the Dahlia House. What a wonderful unexpected little getaway we had. We spend this time by the fire and getting this little cottage all ready for the holidays and our guests.
