Carolina Beach summer officially starts NEXT WEEK
The Boardwalk Carnival returns May 20-September 7, 2026 with rides, games, snacks, and all the classic beach-town summer vibes right by the ocean. If you're planning a family beach trip, this is when Carolina Beach really comes alive.

Fireworks return May 22 and happen every Thursday night

Carolina Beach Market and Deli has officially taken over the old Sea Merchant-and yes, it looks like new ownership gave this place a full tacelift
Inside you'll find
a coftee shop,
a great selection of
meats & cheeses,
a HUGE beer and wine wall, plus all the
grilling essentials you didn't know you needed for a beach week.
A full deli is coming in May, and there's both indoor + outdoor seating to hang and enjoy it all T

We just had the best April trip here. My kids swam every single day and had the best time. Spring is such a hidden gem on Oak Island... warm enough for beach days but still quiet and relaxing before the summer rush
Our home is super kid friendly with plenty to keep little ones happy, plus a screened porch for slow mornings and cozy nights
Some local programs and events are already starting up, so you still get that fun vacation feel without the crowds
