🚨 Friendly reminder if you’re headed to Oak Island this week… they don’t celebrate the 4th ON the 4th! 🇺🇸🎆

✨ Beach Day is Wednesday, July 1! It’s a full day of family fun with sandcastle contests, volleyball, games, live music, and fireworks at the Oak Island Pier at 9:00 PM. (NC 4th of July Festival)

Then on Saturday, July 4, head over to Southport for the NC 4th of July Festival! You’ll find a parade, vendors, live entertainment, waterfront festivities, and one of the area’s biggest fireworks shows over the Cape Fear River at 9:00 PM. (Visit North Carolina)

Want another option? Wilmington also has Fourth of July celebrations and fireworks, making it a great choice if you’re staying closer to that side of the coast.

Thursday nights are the best nights on Carolina Beach!
Every Thursday this summer, enjoy FREE live music starting at 6:30 PM on the Boardwalk, followed by fireworks at 9 PM. My tip? Bring a beach chair and grab a spot along the Boardwalk to enjoy the music before looking up for the fireworks. d.
It's one of our favorite free family-friendly nights at the beach!

Carolina Beach summer officially starts NEXT WEEK
The Boardwalk Carnival returns May 20-September 7, 2026 with rides, games, snacks, and all the classic beach-town summer vibes right by the ocean. If you're planning a family beach trip, this is when Carolina Beach really comes alive.

Fireworks return May 22 and happen every Thursday night
through September 4
