Brother Brad Paisley, 32°, is an active Freemason, and member of Hiram Lodge #7 in Franklin, Tennessee. Paisley has made our fraternity proud for years, demonstrating our Masonic values through more than just his artistic contributions. Even as a young emerging artist in 2000, Paisley used his influence to help those most in need when he secured a sponsorship deal with USA Meats. A Call To Purpose

We do not gather to talk...
We gather to bind ourselves to something higher...
To virtues that shape rough stone into living temples...
To discipline that sharpens the mind...
and steadies the heart...
To each other...
as men sworn to walk uprightly in a crooked world...
This is not friendship...
Friendship is easy...
This is Brotherhood...
costly...
deliberate...
and earned...
A Brother is not simply someone you like...
He is someone you trust with your secrets...
Your silence...
your weakness...
your burdens...
and your name...
The circle you see is only the outer ring...
The real Work happens deeper...
in the quiet chambers of accountability...
in the vows whispered before the Great Architect...
in the labor shared shoulder to shoulder when no applause is coming...
A Lodge is not a social club...
It is a forge...
A place where men are refined by Light...
corrected by Truth...
and strengthened by the hands of those who expect more of them than the world ever will...
To step inside is not to join a group...
It is to enter a covenant...
A covenant of honor...
A covenant of service...
A covenant of transformation...
And the door does not open to everyone...
Not because the Craft is elitist...
but because not every man is ready to be measured...
to be shaped...
to be held to a higher standard than he has ever held himself...
If you feel the pull...
if something in you hungers for depth...
for discipline...
for a circle of men who will not let you remain unfinished...
then the door stands waiting...
But you must knock...
You must choose the Work...
You must be willing to become more than you are...
Because in this Brotherhood...
no man enters unchanged.

For the last seven years of his life the Craft played a profound impact on his work, resulting in several Masonic pieces such as The Magic Flute.
