WINNER!! WINNER!! CHICKEN DINNER!!!
Thanks to everyone who supported us for the USA Today Readers Choice aAwards! We are just ecstatic that we hung onto 5th place when we were up against such huge hotels in such giant cities! We hope our success in this contest will benefit the Carthage area and generate additional interest in Route 66 and the Jefferson Highway.
Thanks again! You are an AWESOME group!

Waiting to find out if we managed to hang on to 5th place in the USA Today Readers Choice Awards. Top 10 will be announced Friday at noon. Meanwhile we finally managed to get some Rack Cards out to the first Welcome Center in Missouri Eastbound on I-44. Also took Rack cards for the (former) Lake Shore Motel, and for Gay Parita Station because , hey, we were going, so why not.

Attached is a photograph of our 500th Guests! When Mike and Cindy checked in this afternoon, they became the 500th guests at the Boots Court since it re-opened for tourists on May 8, 2012. No confetti and balloons, but we did give them their room for free! The photo is of owner Debye Harvey handing Mike and Cindy the key to their free room.
