Cabin #1 3-bedroom, 2-bathrooms, 7-beds, capacity 8 guests
Cabin #11 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom, 4-beds, capacity 6-guests
We also have 1-pontoon and 3-fishing boats available for guest rental.
Our cabins are filling up quickly for hard ice fishing, 4-day houses available as well. We're open from early ice until late ice.

Good afternoon, Sahkahtay followers, Gene here.

What a wonderful stretch of weather we're having, these past two-three weeks has been amazing. The fishing is as steady as the weather. Our guests are crushing the perch and reporting the walleye are picking up nicely. We have some picture to share with you all from the past week. We had a little thunderstorm roll through last Thursday and gave us this colorful rainbow. Our last Smore's night, Mary-go-round and fantastic family fun.
A couple of our guests invited me to go fishing that night. It was first time I got out fishing this summer and we were treated with this beautiful sunset. The next light Allan caught his first and second walleye on Cass Lake. See they do exist! LOL
We have a great group from Wisconsin this week. The LeClair crew were fishing for walleye and boated this 38" muskie this afternoon. Very nice 1st muskie, congratulations!
Our summer season is wrapping up, fall weather will be here before we know it. Thank you to all of our guests, visitors and FB followers. See you when you get here.

Hello, Sahkahtay followers, Gene here.

We had some special guests stop by last Sunday. Previous owners Larry & Virgina Beaver, grandson and great grandson were in the area and stopped to introduce themselves. This was the first time we had met them and what a wonderful couple. They shared stories of the past and how they maneuvered through their time at Sahkahtay. Thank you, guys, for dropping in and making our day a wonderful one.
Here are a couple pictures of the Miller & Parsons Kido's catch yesterday morning, per tournament. Nice job!!!! We're hoping to get a few more pictures out in the next day or two. Some visitors enjoyed making bracelets and necklaces with Tina, thank you for brightening her day.
The perch are quite active now that the water is cooling down, A couple weeks ago we had 82-degree surface temps and now were down in the mid to lower 70's. This cooling off is turning on the walleye and muskie bite. We have been dipping into the 50's overnight and even a couple upper 40's this week. Bring on the September temps! We have the 59th Frank Schneider Memorial Muskie Tournament September 11th-13th. The tournament is held on 20+ Northern MN Lakes, if you're interested in competing, please contact www.twincitiesmuskiesinc.org through Labor Day Sept. 7th.

Good morning, Sahkahtay followers, Gene here. Well, this week wraps up our 2026 Kids Fishing Tournament Series, here at Sahkahtay Beach Resort. Now that the Kido's are heading back to school the rest of the season's air will be filled with Ben-Gay and fishing stories of the past and present.
THANK YOU, to all of our participant's, parents and guests for making our season one to remember. Drummmmm-Rrrooolll please! We had 13 kids that fished this week and all but 2 caught fish, that's pretty darn good. The excitement filled that air, the pitter-patter of the little feet against the dock and the grandpa's telling the kids what to do. Love It!!
The Bronze Medal was bagged by Go-Get-Them Grayson with an 8-1/8" perch. The Silver Medal was snagged by Add-Them-Up Addyson, with a close 8-3/4" perch. The final Gold Medal of the 2026 season was grabbed by Rootin-Tootin Rhea with an undisputed 9-3/4" perch. Way to go you little ice cream eating goblins!
Last week we posted some awesome pictures, this week started out a little slow, but our guests are finding them now. We hope to get some photos posted in the next day or two. As always, we greatly apricate everyone's support and friendship throw this 2026 summer season. Our summer help Kasen and Gary are back to college this week, thank you both for a great job this summer.

Good morning, Sahkahtay Followers, Gene here.
I mentioned that the perch are on biting pretty well, well here's proof. The Van Otterloo and De Kam crew smashed the perch all week. Dan and Carol team were seeking the jumbos and found them. Wild Man Wes hooked into a couple day-time walleyes and his family said it was the best fishing they've EVER had on Cass Lake.
Although these seasoned vets had their unknown hot spots, they still caught them in multiple areas of the lake. That's a great sign for what's to come this fall. Thank you all for sharing your success with us all.
The weather has been remarkable all week, although rain is much needed our guests are enjoying every minute of each day. Thank you to our amazing guests, visitors and FB followers for what you give to our resort. Thank you to Kasen and Gary for your hard work this summer, these two young men our (Dock and Lodge employees) head back to college next week.

Good afternoon, Sahkahtay followers, Gene here. Our weekly Kids Fishing Tournament went as scheduled, here it is hot off the press.
Starting us out is Kick-in Kian sporting the Bronze Medal. Sharing the 2nd place step and taking the Silver Medal is Owning-it Owen and Laughing Logan. This week's Gold Medalist is Heavenly Hayden; she and Owen are 4-years old and what a great start to a bright fishing career. Thank you, kids and parents, for a wonderful time.
This week's guests are slamming the perch; I'm hoping that they'll share some picture with us. Surprisingly the walleye bite is pretty good, daytime and low light. Trolling lures and jigging are the best tactics.

Good afternoon, Sahkahtay followers, Gene here. We just finished up another crazy week here, sorry for the delay in this week's Kid Fishing Tournament. We had a lack of Kido's, but what we did have Double Trouble.
Long time guests Sandie and Jeff Thone grandsons ( Parks ) were the only two that signed up. There is a shortage of kids this week, our guests are in the transition period, between generations.
As you can guess Jace and Jude are brothers. LOL Setting the Pace Jace snagged the Silver Medal, Jumping Jude was our Gold Medal winner. Thank you all so much for taking part in this week's event.
The walleyes are starting to bite, no pictures from our guests, but the fish gut pales were pretty full every morning. The perch are being caught in 8-12' in a number of spots. The cooler weather is helping the overall bite and the forecast looks promising.

Good afternoon and Happy Friday, Sahkahtay followers, Gene here. Our week is ending and a new beginning is only a day away. Apologies for the delay with the Kids Fishing Tournament results, it's been a little crazy. Kasen and Tina hosted the tournament this week, Kasen hooking the worms and both of them snapping pictures. Thank you both for covering for me!
This week's Bronze Medal was snagged by Come-On-Calvin, and the Silver Medal goes to Happy-Sam-I-Am. Calvin's little brother, Easygoing Elias took the Gold Medal in the last 10-minutes of the contest. All of the kids were such good sports and survived the heat, Tina gave them all a free ice cream cone. Thank you, kids, parents, bystanders, Kasen and Tina for making another great memory.
One of our Steady-Eddies, The Lawrence Family had some success in this miserable heat this week and they were kind enough to share some pictures. Kevin, Ellen and kids, Thank You for a fun and wonderful week.

Good morning, Sahkahtay followers, Gene here. Well, we did get some minor damage from the storm on Friday night, but we lucked out overall. A few other resorts on the lake had more severe damage from the hail and wind. No reports of injuries, so that's all that really matters.
The Kevin Greenberg family has been to Cass Lake many time, but last week was their first time at Sahkahtay. They shared some photos of Kenzie's high lights of the week. Great Job, Kenzie!

Good afternoon, Sahkahtay Followers, Gene here. We moved our Kid's Fishing Tournament until today. We only had 3-kiddo's that were willing to participate. Three other kids are too young and 3-more are in diapers still. So, a slower week when what you're accustomed to, but the future looks great.
Bagging the Bronze was Majic Morgan, she was by far the most enthusiastic of them all. Jump, Jump-it-up James squeezed in for second place and took the Silver Metal. The Gold Metal goes to, Can't-Catch-Me Cameron, he started out strong and finished strong. Way to go guys!
We have a few other pictures of these three fishing on the lake and in the harbor, if there's a chance to fish, they're fishing. Little Bella, is enjoying a cotton candy treat, what a cutie!
