Another great week with great guests, the Steenbock groups had a fantastic few days, they got their limit of perch and found some Gills and Crappies to top off their stay.
This past weekend was year 2 of my sons, nephews & brother in-law fishing get together. The weather was amazing and the perch were somewhat cooperative. We really had to work to get them, but at the end, the deep fryer was full and fillets went home. Win-Win. Thank you all for coming up and getting me in the boat. Great conversations, smack talk and lots of laughing. Tina loved seeing her sons, Cole and Reed spending some quality time with me. It was a much-needed escape after a long summer.

Our posts are nearing the end of the open water season. We're closing on the 25th of October, until the hard water season starts. Tina and I finally get to go fishing in the upcoming weeks, so we'll be sure to share some of our adventures and catches.
Here's a few picture that our guests shared with us over the past week. Enjoy, be jealous and if you're kicking yourself for not booking a fall trip, GOOD. LOL

Good morning, Sahkahtay followers, Gene here.
Looking out the window this morning and the steam is blowing off the lake. The air temp is in the low 40's and water temp is in the low 60's range. I love this time of the year, the fish are feeding hard and the hard ice season is only 90-days away.
I don't have many pictures to share with you this week, so you'll have to take my word, the perch bite is ON. The perch aren't schooled up quit yet, so you have to keep moving around. The flip side is our guests have been limiting out. The walleyes are on the w**d lines and the muskie and pike are shallow feeding.
Jim caught this 50+ last week and Dave landed this young one over the weekend. Kevin had a blast with his ultra-lite while pan fishing and Ellen scooped this 31" for him.

Good afternoon Sahkahtay followers, Gene here.
What another wonderful week for weather and fishing. Once again, we were blessed with amazing guests. Jeff & Julie Roberts shared these pictures; their group absolutely crushed it last week. Jeff caught and released this 14" perch and later that day caught a 24" bonus walleye that was returned as well.
All of our guests did really well on the perch, a number of them reported some nice walleyes, pike and panfish. This cooler weather is driving down the water temps. The fish should be putting on the feed bags in no time.
We had a crazy cool colorful sunrise mid last week. Thank you, Julie, for sharing the morning views with us all. There is not much time, and our cabins are almost filled for the fall. Please give us a call if you're interested.

Steve and Christian have been coming to Sahkahtay for a number of years. Last year they were unable to make the trip, but WOW they made up for lost time. I suggested a couple of spots to them and they absolutely CRUSHED it. Thank you both for the great conversations and all of the pictures of your adventures.
We start our new fall hours on Sept. 8th and we're closing on Oct. 25th this year. If you're thinking about making a trip to Gods Country, now is the time to book!

Good afternoon, Sahkahtay followers, Gene here. It's almost mid-week and the first day of September, cooler days & nights bring on the big bites.
We have some pictures to share with you all. Denny and Dottie had great action last weekend. Only had to fish about half their 3-day stay to limit out on Walleye. Way to go you two!
McKenna caught her PB walleye, 23" while perch fishing. Great job! Thank you, Kim and Terry Brinker for referring the Bell/Robak & Orcutt clan to Sahkahtay Beach Resort. Once again, we were blessed with wonderful guest and visitors this week.
One of our seasonal guest Paul Yough caught this 50" today, what a beautiful fish.
We have several cabins that have limited out on Perch this past weekend. The bite is only warming up, as the water cools down.
Cabins are filling up nicely for the fall, don't miss out, book today.
We start new lodge hours after Labor Day, hours are posted on our FB page. Pizza, Nacho Platters and Ice Cream being served until Oct. 26th.

Another week of amazing weather, guests and night views. As you all may know there was a Full-Moon & Eclipse on Thursday night. One of my oldest friends Shawn and I went walleye fishing. The fish we're on fire and the views were incredible. Enjoy the pictures!
The Karg/Maley and Steeve group had a blast the week. They had a smorgasbord of fish, Pike, Walleye, a beautiful Muskie. Thank you for sharing your adventures.
Thank you to all of our amazing guests this week, some new, some starting their tradition and one very special family had their 62nd year on the lake.

Cabin #1 3-bedroom, 2-bathrooms, 7-beds, capacity 8 guests
Cabin #11 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom, 4-beds, capacity 6-guests
We also have 1-pontoon and 3-fishing boats available for guest rental.
Our cabins are filling up quickly for hard ice fishing, 4-day houses available as well. We're open from early ice until late ice.

What a wonderful stretch of weather we're having, these past two-three weeks has been amazing. The fishing is as steady as the weather. Our guests are crushing the perch and reporting the walleye are picking up nicely. We have some picture to share with you all from the past week. We had a little thunderstorm roll through last Thursday and gave us this colorful rainbow. Our last Smore's night, Mary-go-round and fantastic family fun.
A couple of our guests invited me to go fishing that night. It was first time I got out fishing this summer and we were treated with this beautiful sunset. The next light Allan caught his first and second walleye on Cass Lake. See they do exist! LOL
We have a great group from Wisconsin this week. The LeClair crew were fishing for walleye and boated this 38" muskie this afternoon. Very nice 1st muskie, congratulations!
Our summer season is wrapping up, fall weather will be here before we know it. Thank you to all of our guests, visitors and FB followers. See you when you get here.
