Peregrine House Retired teacher and business owner, seniors, travelers and sailors. Large extended family, children and grand-children. Cathedral ceilings and well insulated.

Born in Maine, schooled in Bangor to college level, now living in Bangor/Brewer area. Built in 1973, original owner/builders from Cape Cod were all about details. House was positioned facing slightly South, to afford spectacular sunsets all across front windows, all year long. a, brick hearth from Boston building smokestack, copper lanterns, driftwood memorabilia, paintings,carvings, etc. Builders of this house were all about details, as evidenced by facing the home slightly South to gain a view of the incredible sunsets all year long, across the front windows. Well insulated and new, System 2000, oil hot-water baseboard throughout. Present owners have included numerous photos and paintings to add to the decor, as well as telescopes and hi-power binoculars to enhance the views. Peace and quiet with exceptional views across Wadsworth Cove and Penobscot Bay, Islesboro Island and Camden Hills in background. Dyce’s Head Lighthouse is a 5 minute drive from the Peregrine House in Castine, Me.

This historic 51 foot stone tower, located at the end of battle Avenue, was built in 1828 to assist with guiding shipping traffic into Penobscot Bay and Castine harbor.

The lighthouse and adjacent keeper’s house are privately owned, but visitors may tour the grounds and enjoy the stunning views of Penobscot Bay.

There are still weeks left in September and October to schedule your private fall getaway in Castine Maine! If you’ve never experienced fall in Maine, you’re in for a wonderful surprise. The weather is still warm, and there are so many activities to enjoy. Kayaking, sailing, leaf peeping, apple picking, walks along the beach searching for unique shells, or your favorite cocktail on our wraparound deck, while enjoying one of Castine‘s gorgeous sunsets.
