The Pentagöet is going GLOBAL… The Boston Globe that is 🗞️ Ever since writer Pamela Wright stayed with us a month ago, we’ve been eagerly awaiting her article in the Sunday Travel section of the Globe—and it finally hit stands today! 🤩
The write-up is generous and brimming with delight over our inn, as she says, “Matt Powell and George Trinovitch
bought the Pentagöet Inn & Pub five years ago, and have devoted time, talent and considerable resources to giving the historic property a new lease on life. They’ve rebuilt the corner exterior staircase that was once the focal point of the inn, built an outdoor patio for additional seating and dining space, restored the interior staircase, added period furnishings, wall coverings and paint. Today, the grand Victorian once again commands center stage on Main Street and has become a lively community gathering space.
There are 11 rooms in the main inn and another five in a nearby annex building. Our room was cozy and bright, and recently refreshed, with new hand-painted wall coverings and crisp white painted trim, period furnishings, a refurbished clawfoot tub with shower, and a balcony overlooking Main Street.
It’s the public spaces that make the inn especially unique and comfortable, including a large living room with a piano and lots of seating, a small library on the second floor, a side garden, and the new backyard patio. There’s also Mister’s Pub, named after the couple’s mini schnauzer. We loved its low-lit, speakeasy vibe, with lush fabrics, fringe-y window coverings, cushy leather seating, and eclectic art.” …Continued in the comments ✨
