Can you can join me in supporting FESCO's mission statement?
What better way to introduce the 19th Annual FESCO Shuffle? Many feet make light work, or maybe, many feet help many people. Homeless people. Homeless families with children.
Each year, FESCO assists over 400 parents and their children with the services they need to regain their housing, increase their incomes, access healthcare and other important community resources, and ensure that the children are thriving in their educational, physical, social, and emotional development. Based on each family’s needs, we provide facilities, programs, and services, as they seek to end their homelessness. Ultimately, our mission is simple and complex: help families gain stability and permanent housing.
The annual FESCO Shuffle walkathon is a tangible way to help people in need. Hundreds of walkers come out to spend time together, to enjoy the beautiful San Leandro Marina Park and those hundreds of feet take a great big step toward ending family homelessness.
On behalf of FESCO staff and all of the families we serve in this community, we invite you to join us with your feet and your hearts in taking a step toward ending family homelessness at the FESCO Shuffle on April 30, 2016. You can check in and receive a t-shirt beginning at 8:30 am, the walk will begin at 10:00 am and then you can listen to some music, enjoy a hot dog and watch the children play.
