Today’s tip: USE WHAT YOU’RE ALREADY MOVING!

Before you buy rolls and rolls of packing material, look around your house. You probably already have plenty of things that can help protect your belongings!

🛁 Wrap breakables in towels and washcloths
🛏️ Use sheets and pillowcases around larger items
🧦 Tuck socks around glasses, mugs and other small breakables
👕 Use T-shirts and soft clothing to fill empty spaces and keep things from shifting

You have to move those things anyway—make them work twice! 🙌

Just remember: for especially fragile or valuable items, proper protective packing materials are still your safest choice.

Less wasted space. Less packing material. And fewer things to unpack later. ❤️

It can be tempting to fill that last little bit of space in a tote with whatever is nearby—but future you may regret it. 😅

Whenever possible, keep items from the same room together in each tote.

🏠 Kitchen with kitchen
🛏️ Bedroom with bedroom
🛁 Bathroom with bathroom
🧸 Kids’ rooms with kids’ rooms

Then label each tote clearly so you know exactly where it belongs when you get to your new home.

✨ BONUS TIP: Have your movers—or your family helpers—put each tote directly into the room listed on the label. Instead of ending up with one giant pile of totes to sort through, you can start unpacking room by room.

A little organization while you pack can save a LOT of frustration when you unpack. ❤️

📦 THROWBACK THURSDAY!

Remember when getting ready to move meant driving all over town hunting for FREE boxes? 😂
