Yesterday was extremely cold. Actually the coldest I’ve ever seen at mass on St. Patrick’s Day. But in spite of the cold we had a nice crowd show up to celebrate with us and support our efforts in preserving the Rock Church!! It was a great day and I want to thank Fr. Nord for bearing the cold and celebrating mass for us. It was a wonderful day!

Thank to all those who made this day a success !!!

I cannot begin to express my appreciation for all the condolence, sympathy, and encouragement messages that my family and I have received these past days. We loved dad enormously and he will be dearly missed. But seeing all of the messages that so many people sent warms our hearts at this difficult time. I truly wish I could thank all of you individually but there are just so many. In time it will happen though. For now we are gonna focus on our family and remember the great man who took care of us for so long!!
I hope everyone has a nice holiday and God bless you all.

Another great picnic and a wonderful turn out for the 11 AM Mass Sunday morning celebrated by Father Tom Molini. Denise Brickler said 150 people in mass. I believe it.

The day was hot but we still got some chicken fried and fed a few people. Somewhere around 1500 dinners. Our wonderful volunteers came out like they do every year and worked and sweated their butts off.

Thanks to all who attended!! Thanks to those who volunteered to make this picnic happen every year!! And thank God we get to do this and keep this place looking beautiful with the funds we raise from these picnics.

We may even start looking into having a few smaller events in the coming years.

I would like to say thank you to Fr. Molini, Fr. Nord, Deacon Randy, and our server Joshua. Also Ryan Murphy and the choir. Without them Mass would not have happened. Thanks to Denise Brickler for the pics and husband for pumping the organ.

We are so lucky to have all the volunteers come out and work every year. Without them the picnic would never happen and I wouldn’t be getting all those compliments on the food, especially the chicken, and the beauty of the place. We’ll be having our workers appreciation party as usual. Any questions, give me or another board member a call

Finally thanks to the members of the board who help take care of the Rock Church year round. With their help, guidance and dedication, St. Patrick’s Old Rock Church continues to thrive.

Feel free to share your pics of the picnic. I was a little busy and didn’t get many pics myself!!
