You’re invited to a Mammoth Cave National Park ! 🌟 Dust off your telescope and join us on Saturday, June 20 from 7 — 10:30 p.m. CDT for special evening programs about the night sky. 🔭

Join us in the bus loop behind the visitor center where we’ll get the party started with a ranger-led astronomy program at 7 p.m. We’ll keep the celebration going with night sky viewing from 8:30 to 10:30 p.m.

Feel free to bring your own telescope from home! 🌌 No telescope? No worries! Knowledgeable rangers and volunteers will have telescopes set up for participants to view the night sky.

This event is free for all to attend and no reservations are required. All activities are weather dependent. 🌠 Don’t forget to pack star party essentials like chairs, blankets, or a jacket. Check out our Special Events webpage for more info: https://go.nps.gov/maca/special-events

Got weekend plans? Mammoth Cave National Park will offer the Discovery Tour free of charge on Sunday, June 14! This half-mile, self-guided tour lets you experience the world’s longest cave at your own pace. Rangers and informative displays are stationed along the route to help you learn about the history and geology of the cave.

Looking for a flexible, family‑friendly activity this weekend? Mammoth Cave National Park will offer the Discovery Tour free of charge on Monday, May 25. OPENING SATURDAY 🌊

The Joyce Driver Aquatic Center opens Saturday in Glasgow, marking the city’s first full-scale aquatic center and moving beyond a traditional city pool.

Glasgow Parks & Recreation said the facility will be open Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sundays from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Among the features are two large water slides, one open and one enclosed, along with a family slide that fits up to four riders at once.

The community is invited to get a first look before opening day. A ribbon cutting will be held Thursday at 3 p.m. at the park, located at 805 Happy Valley Road.
