Posting for a very, dear friend …..

Sparky, a 17-year-old male cockapoo, is in desperate need of a new home. Sparky has some health issues including bladder and bowel problems. His current owner is very elderly and unable to care for him.

I am praying that someone in this forum would consider giving Sparky a new, forever home, in a loving environment.

We would take him, but recently adopted another shelter dog with some aggressive behaviors. Until she is trained, we continue helping other senior shelter dogs find their own loving homes. I like to call these sweet pups, friends with frosted faces!!! ❤️

Please reach out to me and I will put you in contact with Sparky’s family.

CAZENOVIA- The name given to our town and village to honor Theophilus Cazenove (1740-1811), Holland Land Company land agent and supervisor of founder John Lincklaen. It's a name now borrowed by the school district, the college, retail stores, businesses, even the lake. In 1976, Cazenove British descendents visited Cazenovia in celebration of the country's bicentennial. Members of the party included Robert, Christopher, and Isabel de Pelet Cazenove, Theophile's great-great-great grand nephews and niece. Mrs. de Pelet had visited Cazenovia in 1963 and struck up a relationship with Lorenzo and the Oakman/Hubbard family. Christopher was joined by his wife, Angharad (pictured above) and his two-year-old son Linford.

Other descendants have visited throughout the years, maintaining a connection with Theophile's legacy.

From the moment Ginny stepped through the door in the c.1810 gem on West Lake Road, she was totally in love. It was a dream of hers to have her own bed & breakfast, and with Howard’s spacial mind and understanding of all things structural, Mary’s Meadow on West Lake Road opened the door to her first guests in the autumn of 2011. It was a sound decision as Cazenovia is a charming little Central New York town, and people needed warm and personal accommodations.
With the purchase of their 2nd, bed & breakfast on Rippleton Road, Mary’s Meadow at Fernwood Farm was born.

Running two businesses for 3 years was wonderful but exhausting. After much prayer and discussion with their family, Mary’s Meadow went on the Zillow real estate market and was in contract only 20 days later. The new owners understood that there were reservations to fulfill throughout the summer months and agreed to a longer than usual contract.
The weekend of September 20th, 2019 was the final weekend that the West Lake Road property hosted guests with Ginny & Howard. Many thanks to Maureen & John, Claudette & Carl, Catherine & David and Peta & Pierre for their sweet and thoughtful words to make that final weekend meaningful and full of memories. They even posed for a picture!

The West Lake Road property will henceforth be known as The Taylor House 1810. A new vision and bed & breakfast experience will be a treat for guests from the new owners/innkepers, Amy & Eric Smith.

Mary’s Meadow at Fernwood Farm on Rippleton Road in Cazenovia will continue the services, traditions and accommodations that Ginny & Howard have become known for. Visit their new web-site at: www.fernwoodfarmbb.com or call 315-815-4125 for more information. (The phone number remains the same!).
