Finish painting the exterior of the house. ✔️

When I purchased the house, I was determined to do everything myself. It would mean a lot of work, but I love the challenge and I’m a sucker for before and afters.

I have spent SO much time working on the entire property and have accomplished SO much. My goal was to finish the exterior of the house this week. While sitting in the backyard Monday, I just felt overwhelmed looking at the height of the house and wondering how I was really going to do it. I’m terrified of heights. Overwhelmed, as in fighting the tears and knowing I had bit off more than I could chew. D told me to hire someone to finish the high parts, but I felt like I was quitting on something I had invested so much time on.

Fortunately for me, my nephews were visiting from Kansas and needing “something” to do. Answer. To. Prayer! They spent over thirty hours cumulatively in three days and finished the house. I paid the boys and thanked them numerous times for helping me. It looks so good and I’m so happy. May have shed a few tears of joy. 😉
