Mother Nature and a little Texas ingenuity just saved this project big time! 🌊🚜🔥

Take a look at what’s happening on-site at 172 Colorado today! After two years of heavy drought, recent rains have completely filled our 3.5-acre lake back up—right when we need it most.

During major dirt work and road construction, you need millions of gallons of water to roll, pack, and compress the earth properly. With local municipalities cutting off water for construction sites due to Bastrop's massive development boom, buying and hauling water in could have cost a fortune.

Instead, our General Contractor, Wes, set up a pump system to pull water directly from our lake right into our tank trucks. Zero extra cost, zero delays! 💡

Plus, taking advantage of the lifted burn ban and recent rain, the crew is safely burning off the final piles of cleared brush on-site—saving massive haul-away fees and leaving our 43 acres clean, safe, and ready for construction.

Building a resort with stewardship, efficiency, and smart solutions from day one! 🪵✨

Take a look at this! This shot shows our current dirt staging area, where we are storing valuable soil to repurpose across the property during grading.

In the background, you can catch a glimpse of our 3.5-acre lake. While recent drought conditions caused the water level to drop, we're already implementing a long-term solution! We will be drilling a dedicated deep well to maintain the lake at optimal levels year-round—giving our future guests a reliable spot for swimming, fishing, and relaxing, while also irrigating our beautiful green spaces.

No matter what Texas weather throws our way, we’re building a resort engineered to thrive! 🚜✨

As shown in the image, they play a crucial role on our site right now. Placed strategically in high-runoff areas, they reinforce our silt fencing to control erosion and keep stormwater runoff completely contained until our permanent stormwater management system is operational.

From overgrown brush to a serene park setting. 🚜🌲✨

Take a look at the massive transformation happening at 172 Colorado! Until a few weeks ago, the entire 43 acres was dense with overgrown brush and dead trees. Today, the mulching tractor rolled in—and the results speak for themselves.

We are selectively clearing out brush and ice-damaged trees while saving all the beautiful, mature growth—our oaks, elms, cedars, and even our native pines. What used to look impenetrable is officially becoming a quiet, park-like oasis.

Sometimes seeing the true value of a piece of land just takes a little vision! 💡
