It's such great weather here today...you feel like winter is over, but it is too soon to put all the starter plants out here...there my still be one more night that would freeze them ..I've lived here too long to get fooled again..lol

Albuquerque's high desert location makes for clear skies and calm weather much of the year. This spring, it will be the place to be for astronomy buffs and amateur star gazers alike. Two astronomical "close encounters" will take place - and both are visible in Albuquerque.

quick story to share....guest got up at 3:30 this morning and went out on the deck...thought Mannie (our black lab) growled...then saw that she was laying on her back snoring..lol

Snow on the ground still, but the road is clear and during the day the sun is shining...spring is coming really

My guests were able to watch the rosy finches yesterday as the banding was taking place on top of the Sandia mountain. Lots of birds at our feeder this morning and they were able to get photos of some that they don't get to see in Vermont.

Great news they opened up the mountain for hiking and biking! We have wonderful cool weather here now and are having late afternoon showers.

The weather is turning warmer and I have lots of beautiful new plants to put in the ground....hopefully it will be safe to plant now.

I have a new system that makes it possible to book your rooms right from my website that seems to be working well...

We had a nice little snow shower last night and the April snow is so lovely. I hope that we will still have fruit this year though because all the trees were in full bloom....

It's snowy and cold outside....but oh so nice here in front of the big old fireplace in the kitchen with all the good smells of scones in the oven...and fresh ground coffee brewing

I hope that everyone got to spend some quality time today with their friends and family..... Merry Christmas everyone

If you are ever even CLOSE to Cedar Crest NM - stay at Elaine's B&B. We had such a lovely time! We have stayed in two different rooms on two recent trips and both were just wonderful! A restful get-away that feels like going home. Go to Elaine's! You'll be glad you did!
Incredible and delightful.....
The most pleasant, relaxing get away. We will surely be back. The serenity and the beauty of the Elaine's BnB was incredible. I sure hope there is room during the winter months.
