Have you read “A Land Remembered”? Old Florida,

Florida stopped offering film tax incentives years ago. So most "Florida-based" shows are actually filmed in Georgia, California or the Caribbean.

One independent production is doing it differently. Filmmakers Todd Wiseman Jr. and Christa Boarini are shooting a TV series adaptation of A Land Remembered entirely in Florida, on cattle ranches outside Dade City and near Myakka City, to capture the state's authentic landscape. The Florida Legislature appropriated $500,000 to help keep the production in-state, and Visit Tampa Bay matched that contribution.

"In their view, filming A Land Remembered anywhere else would practically be blasphemous."
