What an amazing week of weather we have coming up!

Campers, it's about to happen. We haven't had a streak like this in a while. We have the next six days of B-E-A-utiful weather coming. Take an impromptu camping trip up to the mountains, get out of the heat, disconnect from life, take a hike to a waterfall, surround yourself with the clean mountain air, have a cracking campfire and jump in our pool. We want to thank everyone for reaching out to see how we survived Hurricane Helene.

We are all well and are currently getting the campground back up and running. We did not flood but there are over 50 trees that came down in the campground, blocking roads and damaging sites. All our buildings were spared except a live oak tree that came down on a corner of our guest house. We were without power in the campground for 12 days with no phone/internet communications for about a week. We now have water & electricity throughout the campground and the cleanup has started.

Many tourist destinations such as the DuPont State Recreational Forest, Caesar’s Head State Park, Pisgah National Forest, Blue Ridge Parkway, Pretty Place Chapel and many hikes to waterfalls are closed for the immediate future.

We understand that many of you are concerned about your upcoming reservations, and we thank you for your patience while trying to reach the campground office. Our office and store are open 8am-1pm and then 3pm-9pm to answer your questions, process reservations and to check-in campers. The campground will re-open on Oct 11th and will be open through the end of the season. Please call us 828-884-2267.
