April showers bring June delicious fruit. Weather permitting, we should have a bountiful crop of peaches, plums, and pears this summer. The blackberries are already getting ripe, and our first cobbler is right around the corner! If you look closely, you will notice these are not tomatoes. After last night's freeze, our persimmons are now ripe for the picking. If you are not familiar with persimmons, these fruit are very astringent if not fully ripe. When they are ripe, they are quite delicious. The fruit is soft and juicy inside, with a few small seeds inside, though don't eat the skin! If you would like to come out and pick your own, please contact us this week. The window for picking and eating these fruits is very short!
