After 5 years of fun and meeting so many folks I would not have known otherwise, I have made the decision to close my business. I am still here and will offer the school for gatherings. I guess closing down our other business in the interest of retiring has rubbed off on me. We are ready to make our lives as simple as possible.
Thanks to all who came and enjoyed our facility. Wishing you all many, many years of happy quilting. I will still have my personal FB page if you want to keep in touch.

Happy New Year! I wanted to let you know that I will no longer have a website this year. You can still find me on Facebook. We are taking a good look at how we can best use our school and making changes as needed. Retreats are still being offered, as well as day rentals for different activities. Wishing you all the best in this new year!

As the weather gets cooler, I am more interested in quilting and sewing projects and am gearing up to finish some projects and start new ones. I know some of you quilt all year, all day long.....
I have recently been getting the message I am asked to update info as to price and hours. I am not able to put I am open by scheduled days and the price is according to how long you are here.

Hi Everybody,
We’re still kicking, working hard towards our retirement from our day job.
We have plans for improvement on the school retreat center but are still open for business.

I think we can all agree that I stink at marketing.
THE REASON IS....I don’t appreciate junk mail, telemarketers, ads popping up on line, etc, and I don’t want to do that to you. MY website, www.plumcenterretreats.com, my paid advertising, and FB Is about it.
You know I am here so I wait to hear from you if you want to retreat.
In the meantime we are continually working to maintain and improve good ole District 9 and enjoying the place ourselves.
I must admit my business did not take off like I thought it would so we are considering other options, like offering it for family reunions, as well. Not quite ready yet but stay tuned for that. I sure appreciate the quilt groups who have come!
Hope you are all having a happy, healthy summer!
BTW, if you google my business it comes up as my home address. That is the billing address not the retreat center. Have to get that corrected....

Hey folks, lead paint is gone. First coat on the entry door. Will finish her up next week. Lots of elbow grease on District 9 the last couple of days. Love our home away from home.

First retreat of the year was snowed out....in April! Looking forward to next one this weekend and it looks like there will be very nice weather.....great time to be in the country. Looks like spring has finally sprung.
