Summer 2027 vacation planners--this message is for you! Now is the time!

When you think about coming to a dude ranch, you probably think: horses. At the Vee Bar, horses are key-players. Our horseback riding program has become very well known and guests who have been to other ranches also praise our riding program. It's not something we take lightly so here are a few key points that make us unique. You might have to come experience it for yourself!

🐴Riding is not nose to tail and loping rides are offered (but that's the case at a few other ranches as well).
🐴Ranch owners/managers are very hands-on when it comes to the riding, and it shows. Standards are maintained, horses are well-cared for, and wranglers are thoroughly trained.
🐴We are very choosy when picking horses that will make the cut to be a coveted "dude" horse. We keep the best of the best in the "dude string."
🐴 The riding terrain varies: meadows, river crossings, high plains, and mountains.
🐴 Riders are split into smaller groups and when there are mixed abilities, more than one wrangler is on a ride so that riders can be further split up and those that wish to lope can do so, while those that want to walk are never pressured to go any faster than they want. Everyone gets to do it their way!

One of the improvements the Cole family made when they purchased the Vee Bar in 1994 was to build riverside suites which added to the more historic, larger cabins that were already in place. Riverside suites are located near the lodge, hot tub and saloon, with a boardwalk connecting all of them. The suites are so thoughtfully laid out:
🟩 Two bedrooms, one bathroom, and both rooms adjoin to the bathroom.
🟩 The views! Imagine sitting on your covered porch watching the river flow by, snow fall, birds flutter, and wildlife appear out of the willows.
🟩 Parking right next to the cabin
🟩 The riverside suites have their own washer and dryer--handy for lengthy summer vacations and kids who have been busy playing outside!
🟩 Modern amenities such as a small refrigerator, hair dryer, coffee maker, but NO TV.

It was a gorgeous day for a fall festival (or a UW Cowboys football game) today! The festival fun will be continued tomorrow, Sunday, 1:00-4:00. Yes, there are still pumpkins left. We hope to see you!

📣📣 Our very own Tommy George was recently inducted into the Wyoming Cowboy Hall of Fame. To know him is to love him and to say he's left an impression on many of our guests is an understatement. One of the few "true cowboys" left, and he has the stories to prove it.

Tommy, we are so proud of you and proud to call you a part of the Vee Bar Ranch family.
