Dear Friends,
It is with very full and grateful hearts that Chris and I share some bittersweet news. After many conversations and much thought, we have made the decision to close The Little Yellow House as a vacation rental beginning in 2027.
We will, of course, be honoring all reservations and rental agreements for 2026, but after that, our little yellow house will become our home.
Many of you know that Chris retired from our family dairy farm last winter, and we now divide our time between Pennsylvania and Utah. The wonderful family who now operates our farm needs to be living in the farmhouse, and after weighing every possibility—buying, building, and everything in between—we realized the answer had been right in front of us all along. Our cozy little yellow house is exactly where we're meant to be, and we'll be moving in during the summer of 2027.
While we are excited for this new chapter, saying goodbye to sharing our little house is incredibly difficult. What started as a simple idea became so much more because of all of you.
Thank you for choosing our home, for treating it with such love and care, and for allowing it to be part of your own stories. Whether you came for rest, girl time, crafting weekends, or simply a quiet escape, you filled our little house with laughter, friendship, love, and memories that will always mean so much to us.
It has truly been an honor to host you, and we are deeply grateful for every stay, every kind note, and every recommendation you shared with others. Your support has meant more than you'll ever know.
If you're looking for another wonderful retreat destination, our dear friend Lori Staley owns Cozy Craft Nest in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. We know she would welcome you with the same warmth and hospitality you've come to enjoy.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for being such an important part of The Little Yellow House story. While this chapter is coming to a close, the memories you've shared will stay with us forever.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Chris & Jody Brechbill
