We dedicated and named this cabin, Yogi's Cabin, after Yogi Shrader. Joanne donated items for us to theme the cabin years ago. Joanne passed away yesterday and her family is in our thoughts and prayers.

Joanne Shrader, 89, of Chariton, passed away November 17, 2025. She will be laid to rest next to her husband Yogi Shrader and her son Michael at the Chariton Cemetery.

Joanne was the daughter of Brandon and Katherine Repp and was born June 13, 1936. Joanne marched to the beat of her own drum. She was feisty and determined in everything she did. Joanne wished for no services, no obituary, and no unnecessary fanfare! She had simple wishes and wanted things done her way. We will abide by those wishes.

I’m sure when Joanne comes to mind, we will all remember her with that smile of hers. We will also remember her resilience, toughness, and strong character, while never forgetting the warm, caring spirit she carried.

It's Redbud time again and the blooming has begun. It should be in full swing in the next two weeks. The campgrounds at Red Haw still has not been fixed and opened back up after the tornado. Country Cabins does have RV sites open for the season. Stop by for a tour on your way through the Park while viewing the redbuds this year. See ya'll at the cabins!!
