Charleston Harbor Poker Run

It's the middle of March and we've been receiving messages asking for info on the 2025 Charleston Harbor Poker Run.

We've been working on this run for the past year with the City, the USCG, and SCDNR. Late last year we got our in-water permits from Law Enforcement approved and things look promising with the City.

Just after the New Year, we heard rumors about the host marina being sold. Nobody had any solid info on those rumors when we inquired about them and what it might mean for this event. Just over a week ago, it was announced that the marina we have been hosting the Poker Run at was bought out by Blackrock.

This has made for some more hurdles we're having to overcome. With it being just two months away from the planned event dates. We're going to once again postpone the Charleston Harbor Poker Run while we address any issues and or concerns the new marina ownership has.

We want everyone who attends this event to have a good time and enjoy their time in Charleston and on our waterways. We can't anticipate every issue that could arise during the event. But we're going to do our best to make it as easy as possible so all of you will have an excellent time while you visit.

The Charleston Harbor Poker Run will return. It will be better than you remember it, and it will be worth the wait.

From all of us at the CHPR we apologize again for this delay. But we look forward to seeing every one of you here in Charleston once all these details get worked out.

If you can't wait till 2025 to return to SC for the Charleston run. You're in luck. Bret Laso and his crew up on Lake Murray have a DAM Boat run coming up in June. Check it out and support another local SC event.

We are well into the planning stages for the return of the Charleston Harbor Poker Run in 2025. With our vision and working with local government partners, we expect this run to exceed all expectations.

Everyone has been asking when will the CHP Run return? Charleston has a new incoming mayor in 2024 who also loves to boat. We've been working with him since before the election and are currently working with his office to secure what the last administration wouldn't have without tons of restrictions.

We will have more news on the return of this run in the new year. But rest assured, we're working on making it what it always should have been with the help of the City.

Due to issues outside of our control. The 2023 Charleston Harbor Poker Run has been canceled for this year. We are working with the city of Charleston and area businesses to bring it back in 2024.

The changes we're making to the event structure everyone should find to make for a more enjoyable event.

Mike Redden our 2021 winner and one of our sponsors "Construct South" returned with his beautiful Nor Tech for this years run. Mike was in the running to win again this year but got beat out by two other hands.

This Outerlimits is one beautiful boat. So much so it sold on the dock at the CHPR.

We spotted Lee Haener headed to pull his Apache out Sunday. This was Lee and his teams first year at the run. All the way from Michigan.

For 2023 we're going to be adding some more awards to the run. A farthest distance traveled award will be one of them.
