I was working on some property updates today and ran across this review from last September. It captures the essence of what we put fourth in our homes perfectly!

Spectacular in Every Way!
We are a local family of 7 that was displaced by a water leak and subsequent damage to our home. We chose this property for a variety of reasons: space, location and existing reviews. We initially were reserved for 8 days but ended up staying an entire month. This place was amazing. It had everything we needed, was comfortable, inviting and decorated very homey, yet elegant enough to feel like we were on a vacation. Every detail was attended to, and there were no corners cut on the quality of items in the home. The amenities of a fenced yard and hockey table were among the highest raves from the kids who had plenty to do. The board game selection was also plentiful and we often played games throughout the evening as a family which was very nice. (I couldn't tell you the last time I had played Clue and now it's already on one of my kid's birthday list!) The backyard felt like a little oasis--the covered area with all the outdoor furniture and the hammock had us outside a lot (even in the 90+ degree days!) while we cooked dinner on the grill. The communication with Tammy was superb. Anytime an issue arose or we had a question she was quick to answer and provided thorough instruction/details. She was incredibly accommodating and above all, one of the most compassionate people I have ever rented from. The situation that landed us in this rental would have been a nightmare for most but for us, this truly felt like a home away from home and provided us a sigh of relief as we just got to enjoy our time there. I am truly thankful for the opportunity to have stayed here. If you are reading this and are still thinking whether or not you should stay here, STOP thinking and hit that reserve button!

Upside down, boy you turn me inside out, round and round…

Now if you’re singing that inside your head all day, I’m sorry.

But, I’m not here to talk music and lyrics. I’ve got bedsheets on my mind. Top sheets in particular.

When I’m making a bed, I’m going top side down. My husband and kids can’t get behind me on this one. I often get, “ the sheet is upside down mom!” And that’s where we disagree.

I love nothing more than a beautiful top sheet turndown on a bed. It’s like framing a piece of art. You just can’t get the same look of a beautiful turndown if that sheet is face up. There’s also the added bonus of actually sleeping with both finished sides of the sheets on your skin.

Someday I may get onboard with the millennial trend of no top sheet at all. (Think of all the time and money I won’t be spending on laundry) but for now, I’m still a fan of a top sheet (facing down of course).
