Folksmoot was a blast. We intended for this event to have a little bit of everything: combat, crafting, educational and a touch of fantasy.

It turned into a comfy Viking LARP. We learned so much this time around and are hoping to add more to next years Folksmoot.

Thank yous are in order:
To our Jarls, Red and Paul for leading the charge.
To Dave and Ethan, for the mind boggling amount of work and craftsmanship they put in to pull the event together.
To D, for building our village arch.
To Chuck & Meaghan for the beautiful arch toppers.

To our volunteers that came in as oppositional forces. (To the order of the Golden Rose! I still think we should be the order of the broken trout)

First day of Folksmoot: Viking Raid Weekend!
We started the day by all participating in a theatrical fighting clinic followed by archery and battle games.
When not showing off their warrior prowess cooking, feasting and weaving were to be had.
Join us tomorrow for a pig roast, battle scenarios, blacksmithing and more!

The starting layout of the encampment for Folksmoot: Viking Raid Weekend! Is down.
Now we wait for everyone else to arrive and set up their camps tomorrow!

Joining us this weekend are Valkyrie Adornments with maker demos and wares. Now is the time to ask the blacksmiths what they can make for you or finally rest in your own bog chair.

There will be plenty of time to regale in battle, drink, feast, craft and tale.
